Built to survive
the second year.

Frontend and backend development with modern technologies, performance optimization, and accessibility.

Engineering is where design either holds up or quietly degrades. We build the things we design, and increasingly we are asked to build things other people designed — both are fine, but the first produces better results because nothing is lost in translation.

What we do

Frontend

Implementation against the design system, with performance and accessibility treated as acceptance criteria rather than a later pass. We hold explicit page weight budgets — an operational tool used on a mid-range Android phone over a congested network has a very different budget than a marketing site.

Backend and data

APIs, services, and data models designed around the domain the research described. Most of the hard problems in operational software are modelling problems that surface as interface problems, and they are considerably cheaper to fix in the model.

Performance

Core Web Vitals, real-user measurement, and a budget agreed before the first commit. Performance is not a phase; it is a constraint that either holds throughout or is never recovered.

Accessibility implementation

Semantics, focus management, and assistive-technology testing to verify the WCAG 2.2 AA intent from design actually survived implementation.

How we work with existing teams

We embed as often as we deliver. If you have engineers, the most effective arrangement is usually that we run research and design, then work alongside your team through build — the decisions that determine whether the research mattered are mostly made during implementation.

For systems that already exist and cannot be replaced wholesale, see legacy modernization.

Common questions

What do you build with?

We choose per project rather than per preference, and we bias towards boring, well-supported technology. The constraint that matters most for our clients is who maintains this in two years, which rules out a lot of otherwise interesting choices.

Can you work with our existing engineering team?

Yes. A common arrangement is that we run research and design, then embed with your engineers through implementation so the intent survives the build.

Do you optimise for slow networks?

As a default. A page weight budget that assumes urban fibre fails most of Bangladesh, and Core Web Vitals is a ranking factor as well as a usability one.
